Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion (also known as Dangerous Dave 2 and under the Froggman title, Rooms of Doom) is a 1991 sequel of the computer game Dangerous Dave. It was created by John Romero, John Carmack, Adrian Carmack and Tom Hall. It was developed on the Shadow Knights engine with some extra code for smoother character movement. Also an auto-loading shotgun debuts in the game. Many of the features that debuted in this game were carried over to its sequels, Dangerous Dave's Risky Rescue and Dave Goes Nutz!

Varth: Operation Thunderstorm (occasionally known simply as "Varth") is an arcade game in the vertical scrolling shooter genre, published by Capcom in 1992. The game did not see a console port following its initial release, but 14 years later Digital Eclipse Software would port the game onto the PSP handheld (in the Capcom Classics collection), and later onto the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.Varth follows the story of a disaster that befalls a human colony on a planet of the same name. The entire colony is run by a 7th generation supercomputer which controls the operations of all machinery on the planet. Unfortunately for the residents of Varth, Delta-7 has been possessed by the entity "DUO" (Dimension Unbody Offender), thought of as an evil spirit but actually a temporal-spatial consciousness which spontaneously arose within the supercomputer. DUO has come to the conclusion that human existence is inimical to the planet, and has therefore turned the planet's defenses against its own populace. Eighty percent of the planet is laid waste by the event, and this is only the beginning of DUO's cleansing scheme. The colonists' reliance on the supercomputer has caused them to lose the ability to take care of themselves, and thus have no means of fighting back. The only hope for the colony lies in the pilots of two planes equipped with 4th generation computers which DUO cannot control—they are controlled not by machinery, but by humans.

Alien vs. Predator (エイリアンVSプレデター) is a beat 'em up video game developed and released by Capcom for the CPS-2 arcade game system in 1994. In the game, the players take control of up to three out of four human and Predator characters in a battle against the Alien hordes and rogue human soldiers. The game was very well received by the public and by media publications, becoming a classic title for many fans of the beat 'em up genre, but was never ported to any home system.

Batman also known as Batman: The Video Game is a video game released for the Sega Genesis, which was inspired by the Tim Burton-directed Batman film from 1989. The Genesis version was also produced by Sunsoft. Critics were impressed by its graphics, sound, and playability. The game is more faithful to the film's plot than the NES version and features levels in which the player controls Batman's vehicles.

Castlevania (キャッスルヴァニア, Kyassuruvania), also known in Japanese as Akumajō Dracula (悪魔城ドラキュラ, Akumajō Dorakyura, "Devil's Castle Dracula"), is a dark fantasy-themed action-adventure video game series created and developed by Konami, centered on the Belmont family, a clan of vampire hunters, and their fight with Dracula. The series debuted in Japan on September 26, 1986, with the release for the Family Computer Disk System (FCD), followed by an alternate version for the MSX2 platform on October 30. Although the MSX 2 port (localized in Europe and Brazil as Vampire Killer) was released first outside Japan, the series did not receive wide attention outside Japan until the FCD version was ported to cartridge format for the Nintendo Entertainment System and localized for North American and European releases of Castlevania in 1987 and 1988, respectively. The series became one of Konami's main series. The Castlevania titles have been released on various platforms, from early systems including the Nintendo Entertainment System to modern consoles. It has also been released for Pocket PCs emulators and mobile phones.
